Application Scenarios of Insertion Electromagnetic Flowmeters

With advantages such as strong adaptability to large-diameter pipelines, convenient installation and maintenance, and controllable costs, insertion electromagnetic flowmeters are widely used in scenarios requiring large-flow fluid measurement with high demands for production continuity. Specific applications are as follows:

1. Municipal Public Utilities

  • Water Supply/Drainage: Used for flow metering in raw water intake and clear water transmission pipelines (mostly DN300-DN2000 large-diameter) of urban waterworks, as well as flow monitoring of inlet/outlet water and aeration tank return liquid in municipal sewage treatment plants.
  • Heating/Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC): Measures medium flow in large-diameter pipelines of circulating water (hot water, chilled water) in central heating and central air conditioning systems to regulate energy consumption.

2. Industrial Production

  • Power Industry: Applied for flow metering in large-diameter pipelines of circulating cooling water, industrial wastewater, and desulfurization system slurry (e.g., limestone slurry) in thermal power plants and nuclear power plants.
  • Metallurgical Industry: Monitors fluid flow of cooling circulating water, pickling waste liquid, and industrial sewage in large-diameter process pipelines of iron and steel plants and aluminum plants.
  • Chemical Industry: Serves as a flow monitoring device in large-diameter transportation of non-strongly corrosive acid-alkali solutions, solvents, or process circulating water (requiring sensors made of corrosion-resistant materials).
  • Papermaking/Printing & Dyeing Industry: Used for flow metering of black liquor and white water circulation in pulping processes, as well as wastewater discharge and dyeing process water in printing and dyeing factories.

3. Environmental Protection & Agriculture

  • Environmental Monitoring: Employed in large-diameter total discharge pipelines of industrial wastewater outfalls and centralized industrial park sewage treatment stations for pollution source flow monitoring and data reporting.
  • Agricultural Irrigation: Measures irrigation water flow in large-diameter water conservancy projects such as large-scale farm irrigation systems and reservoir water transmission pipelines to realize rational allocation of water resources.

4. Other Special Scenarios

  • Marine Industry: Used for flow measurement of ballast water and cooling water system in large-diameter pipelines of ships.
  • Mining Industry: Monitors flow of underground mine drainage and low-concentration slurry transportation in mineral processing processes.
