There are multiple potential causes:
- If sensors are mounted on the top or bottom of a horizontal pipe (leading to signal interference from sediments), reposition them to the sides of the pipe.
- If installed on a downward-flowing pipe with insufficient fluid filling, relocate the meter to a fully filled pipe section.
- If flow-altering devices causing severe flow fluctuations are within the sensor’s transmit-receive range, move the sensor away from such devices (with 30 times the pipe diameter upstream and 10 times the pipe diameter downstream from the devices) or relocate it upstream of the devices.
- If the pipe diameter input into the flowmeter does not match the actual inner diameter of the pipe, correct the diameter setting.
