Low signal may result from excessively large pipe diameter, severe pipe scaling, or incorrect installation method. For large pipe diameters or severe scaling, it is recommended to use insertion probes or adopt the “Z-method” installation. Additionally, ensure the pipe surface at the probe installation site is fully polished, and use coupling agent or coupling pads to eliminate air between the probe and the pipe surface. This allows effective transmission of ultrasonic waves into the pipe and ensures sufficient sound intensity transmittance on the detection surface, thereby enhancing signal strength.
