Ultrasonic Flow Meters

20+ Years Manufacturing Experience

How to troubleshoot a clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeter that is functioning normally but not measuring flow?

Potential causes and solutions are as follows:

  • Changed measured medium: Adjust the measurement mode.
  • Medium vaporization due to excessive temperature: Cool down the medium.
  • Medium temperature exceeding the sensor’s temperature limit: Cool down the medium.
  • Aged or depleted coupling agent under the sensor: Reapply coupling agent.
  • High-frequency interference exceeding the meter’s self-filtering capacity: Move away from the interference source.
  • Lost data in the controller: Re-enter all correct parameters.
  • Controller crash: Restart the controller.
