Series TF1100-CH High-precision Flow Meter, a professional ultrasonic flow meter, features advanced Transit-Time measuring technology, providing accurate and reliable flow rate and total flow display. As a high-performance portable ultrasonic flow meter, the Ultrasonic Flow Meter TF1100-CH series provided by Lanry Instruments utilizes a non-invasive transducer which is hand-held or strapped to the outside of a pipe, which will provide benefits of non-fouling operation and ease of installation. This high precision ultrasonic flow meter is designed to meet the strict accuracy requirements of various industrial applications.
The guide rail is designed for clamp-on transducer installation of this ultrasonic flow meter; it makes the installation simple, allocation precise, fixation stable, and it also can meet multiple transducer mounting methods, further enhancing the usability of this portable ultrasonic flow meter.
Preparation
- Before you attach the transducers of the high precision ultrasonic flow meter, you should first ensure that the proposed location satisfies the distance requirements, otherwise the resulting accuracy of the flow readings may be affected— a key concern for such a precise ultrasonic flow meter.
- Prepare the pipe by degreasing it and removing any loose material or flaking paint in order to obtain the best possible surface. A smooth contact between pipe surface and the face of the transducers is an important factor in achieving a good ultrasound signal strength and therefore maximum accuracy.
- Parts prepare for the Industrial ultrasonic flow meter installation
Installation steps
- Installation Steps for V and W Transducer Mounting Method
When using V or W method to install transducers, install the two transducers on the same side of pipeline.
Steps:
- Connect the chains and spring of the ultrasonic flow meter.
- Lay on enough couplant on the transducer.
- Connect the transducers cable of the portable ultrasonic flow meter.
- Enter the application parameters in transmitter to get the XDCR spacing in menu 25.
- Install and fix the transducers on the ruler using knurled screws.( note if the wrong space is applied, the measurement fails or the measurement will have wrong values)
- Fix the transducers using the chains and springs.
- Approach the transducers to the pipe by adjusting the knurled screw until the transducer is pressed slightly onto the pipe.
- Installation Steps for Z and N Transducer Mounting Method
When using Z or N method to install transducers, install the two transducers respectively on the opposite sides of pipeline. Installation steps are same as for W and V transducer mounting method without ruler.
Installation Precautions
During installation of the High Precision Ultrasonic Flow Meter TF1100-CH series, first evenly apply coupling agent to the measuring surface of the transducer, then insert the transducer into the bracket from the broadside to ensure good coupling between the pipeline and the transducer— a key factor for the ultrasonic flow meter’s accuracy. Meanwhile, avoid over-tightening to prevent the coupling agent from being squeezed out, and ensure that the two brackets are on the same axial surface to guarantee measurement accuracy and stable equipment operation of this Non-invasive ultrasonic flow meter.
