Installation shall be performed by qualified personnel in accordance with applicable standards and safety regulations.
The pipe must be completely filled with liquid during operation. Electromagnetic flowmeters are not suitable for partially filled pipes.
Ensure sufficient upstream and downstream straight pipe lengths to achieve accurate measurement (typically ≥ 5D upstream and ≥ 3D downstream).
Avoid installation at locations with strong vibration, electromagnetic interference, or unstable flow conditions.
Install the flowmeter at a point where air bubbles cannot accumulate and where sediment will not settle.
Ensure proper grounding and grounding ring installation, especially for lined pipes or non-conductive pipelines.
The measured fluid must have a minimum electrical conductivity suitable for electromagnetic flow measurement.
Avoid installing the sensor near pumps, control valves, or sharp elbows unless adequate straight pipe length is available.
When measuring high-temperature fluids, take precautions to prevent burn hazards and ensure the selected liner and electrodes are suitable for the process conditions.
After installation, verify correct wiring, grounding, and perform functional checks before commissioning.
