Reasons for Avoiding Mounting Ultrasonic Flowmeter Sensors at Pipe Top or Bottom

Ultrasonic flowmeters are widely used in various industries for accurate flow measurement. However, when installing the sensors of ultrasonic flowmeters, it is generally recommended to avoid placing them at the top or bottom of the pipeline. This is mainly due to several crucial factors.

Installing the sensor at the top or bottom may result in the sensor measuring a non - representative flow velocity.
