Ultrasonic Flow Meters

20+ Years Manufacturing Experience

The advantages of clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeters compared to other flowmeters

Installation

-Non-intrusive installation:

Clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeters are installed on the outside of the pipe without the need to cut the pipe or stop the fluid flow, which is extremely convenient and does not affect the normal operation of the pipeline system.

- Easy installation:

They usually do not require special tools and complex installation procedures, and can be installed quickly by simply clamping the transducer on the pipe, which significantly reduces the installation time and cost. –

Portability:

Many clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeters are portable, which is convenient for temporary measurement and on-site inspection in different locations, and can also be used to verify the accuracy of other flowmeters.

Measurement Medium and Range

– Wide range of applicable media: It can measure the flow of highly corrosive media, non-conductive media, and multiphase media (such as sewage with bubbles and particles), while some traditional flowmeters may be damaged or unable to measure accurately in these media.

- Large measurement range: The measurable pipe diameter ranges from 20mm to 5m, and the flow rate measurement range is wide, it is much larger than that of traditional flowmeters such as turbine flowmeters (10:1) and orifice flowmeters (3:1).

Measurement Accuracy and Stability

– High accuracy: The measurement accuracy of some high-precision clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeters can reach ±0.5%, and the measurement accuracy is less affected by the temperature, pressure, viscosity, density and other parameters of the measured fluid, and can maintain stable and accurate measurement in a wide range of working conditions.

-No pressure lose: Since there are no components in the fluid passage to cause resistance, there is no pressure loss during the measurement process, which not only reduces the energy consumption of the fluid transportation system but also eliminates the need for pressure compensation, saving the cost of pressure transmitters.

Maintenance and Cost

- Low maintenance cost: There are no moving parts in the meter, and the non-invasive measurement method makes the meter less subject to wear, blockage, and corrosion, reducing the frequency of maintenance and calibration and saving maintenance costs.

-Low cost: The cost of the instrument is basically independent of the diameter of the measured pipeline. Compared with other types of flowmeters with the same function, the larger the diameter, the more superior the cost performance of the ultrasonic flowmeter.
