The conversion formula between the flow velocity in a pipeline and the flow rate:
The flow rate is equal to the cross-sectional area of the pipeline multiplied by the flow velocity of the fluid.
Let the flow rate be Q, the inner diameter of the pipeline be D, and the flow velocity of the fluid be V. Then Q = π(D/2)²×V.
When the unit of Q is m³/h, the unit of D is m, and the unit of V is m/s:
Q = π(D/2)²×V×3600 = 2827×D²×V (m³/h).
