- Broad Medium Compatibility
It can measure three types of media including liquids, gases, and saturated/superheated steam universally. Suitable for industrial cooling water, chemical solvents, natural gas, compressed air, and industrial steam, eliminating the need for separate meters for different fluids and reducing customers’ procurement and management costs.
- Reliable Structure with Low Maintenance Cost
There are no moving parts inside the meter. The core components are fixed bluff bodies and sensors, which completely avoid problems such as impeller wear, fouling, and clogging in traditional flow meters. It requires no regular disassembly and cleaning under normal working conditions, only occasional inspection of sensor wiring. The service life can exceed 10 years, significantly reducing long-term maintenance costs.
- Stable Measurement & Strong Anti-Interference Capability
Based on the Karman Vortex Street principle, the measurement accuracy (±1.0%FS – ±1.5%FS) depends mainly on the vortex frequency and is not affected by fluctuations in fluid density, pressure, or temperature within a certain range. The sealed design of the meter housing and sensor resists electromagnetic interference, dust, and humidity in industrial sites, ensuring excellent measurement repeatability.
- Wide Flow Range & Flexible Caliber Options
The turndown ratio reaches 1:10 to 1:20, which is suitable for scenarios with large flow fluctuations (such as chemical reactor feeding and steam boiler load adjustment). Standard calibers cover DN15 – DN300, and customized large-caliber models (up to DN600) are available to meet the measurement needs of both small pipelines and large industrial pipelines.
- Low Pressure Loss & Energy Conservation
The bluff body adopts a streamlined design, resulting in low fluid resistance when passing through. Its pressure loss is much lower than that of orifice flow meters and turbine flow meters. This feature reduces energy consumption of the pipeline transportation system, especially in large-scale industrial pipelines, and significantly lowers the operating load of power equipment such as water pumps and fans, meeting energy-saving and environmental protection requirements.
- Easy Installation & Adaptable to Various Working Conditions
Supports multiple installation methods including flange and clamp-on connections. It has relatively loose requirements for upstream and downstream straight pipe sections (usually 10D upstream and 5D downstream), suitable for industrial sites with limited space. The meter material can be customized flexibly: the body is available in carbon steel, 316L stainless steel, Hastelloy, etc., and the bluff body can be made of titanium alloy or ceramic, which can withstand high temperature, high pressure, and corrosive media, adapting to a temperature range of -40℃ – 400℃ and a working pressure of PN1.6 – PN4.0MPa.
- Intelligent Adaptation & Compatible with Industrial Control Systems
Modern vortex flow meters are mostly integrated with intelligent converters, supporting 4 – 20mA analog signal and pulse signal output. They are compatible with mainstream industrial communication protocols such as MODBUS, HART, and Profibus, and can seamlessly connect to PLC and DCS control systems, realizing real-time monitoring, remote transmission, and centralized management of flow data to meet the needs of automated industrial production.
