The installation location must have sufficiently long straight pipe sections upstream and downstream. Generally, the length of the upstream straight pipe section should be greater than 10 times the pipe diameter, and the downstream section greater than 5 times the pipe diameter. This ensures stable fluid flow and reduces the impact of flow turbulence on measurement accuracy. Meanwhile, the location should be away from interference sources such as control valves and pumps to prevent interference with ultrasonic wave propagation. For horizontal pipes, sensors should be mounted on the sides of the pipe to avoid signal interference from sediments at the top or bottom. Additionally, the meter must be installed on a pipe section fully filled with fluid to prevent measurement errors caused by insufficient fluid filling.
