1) For clamp on type sensor
A. First, check whether the installation position of the sensor meets the requirements of the instrument. The installation of the sensor should meet the specification requirements for the horizontal or vertical position. Whether the appropriate V method or Z method is adopted, it should be at the bottom or a relatively low position of the entire pipeline. There should be sufficient lengths of straight pipes before and after. Whether there are flow blocking components such as frequently opened valves, tees, and elbows near the front of the meter. At the same time, learn from the user about the service life of the pipeline and the internal corrosion situation, etc.
B. Understand the situation of the measured medium. Whether it is a single-phase and clean fluid, whether the fluid is a medium with a high saturated vapor pressure that is prone to gasification, whether it contains dirty impurities such as bubbles and particles, whether the fluid fills the pipeline, and whether the medium contains chemical components that are prone to crystallization, etc.
C. Check whether the installation environment of the instrument meets the requirements. For example, whether there is strong electromagnetic field interference nearby, whether there is strong mechanical noise caused by the regulating valve on the pipeline, whether the frequency of the fluid noise generated by the high flow rate of throttling behind the valve is close to the ultrasonic working range, and whether there is large mechanical resonance in the pipeline, etc.
D. Check the installation situation. Whether the surface of the pipeline at the installation position of the probe is treated to be smooth, clean, and flat. Whether the distance between the sensors is accurate, whether it deviates greatly from the positive side line of the side of the pipeline, whether the installation is firm, whether it is at the pipeline weld, whether the coupling agent is uniformly attached between the probe and the pipeline, whether the coupling agent is squeezed out and falls off, whether there is poor contact in the wiring between the main unit and the sensor, and whether the upstream and downstream sensors are installed reversely, etc.
E. Check the sensor signal. Focus on checking the S and Q values displayed on the main unit M90 and the signal transmission ratio displayed on M91. Both the S value and the Q value should be greater than 60, and the signal transmission ratio should be between 97% and 103%.
F. Check whether the parameter settings of the instrument are correct. Focus on checking the initial parameter items and M11~M25, M40, M41, M45, etc.
G. If necessary, restore the instrument to the factory settings and then perform parameter settings.
2) For the insertion type Same as the above A, B, C, E, F, and G, and also check the following contents:
A. Check and confirm whether the installation position and distance of the sensor are correct.
B. Whether the working surfaces of the upstream and downstream sensors are aligned.
