Ultrasonic Flow Meters

20+ Years Manufacturing Experience

What historical data is stored in the ultrasonic water meter, and how can it be viewed?

The historical data stored in the ultrasonic water meter includes the positive and negative cumulative flow per hour for the last 7 days, the positive and negative cumulative flow per day for the last 2 months, and the positive and negative cumulative flow per month for the last 32 months. This data is stored on the main board using the ModBus communication protocol. There are two ways to read the historical data:

1) RS485 communication interface

To read the historical data, connect the RS485 interface of the water meter to a PC and read the contents of the historical data registers. The starting register address for the 168 hourly cumulative flow records is 0×9000, for the 62 daily cumulative flow records is 0×9400, and for the 32 monthly cumulative flow records is 0×9600.

2) Wireless handheld device

The wireless handheld device for the water meter can view and save all historical data. When viewing historical data, you can only view one record at a time and cannot save it. When saving all historical data, you cannot view the historical data. You can connect the handheld device to a PC and export the historical data for viewing (the historical data is saved in an Excel document format). Note:

Refer to the instruction manuals of the ultrasonic water meter and the wireless handheld device for detailed operations.

If you haven’t ordered the RS485 output or the wireless handheld device, you can simply plug an RS485 module or a wireless module into the water meter’s main board to read the stored historical data.
