When installing an insertion-type sensor, it is necessary to weld a ball valve base onto the pipeline, install the ball valve, and then drill a hole before installing the insertion-type sensor. For pipelines that cannot be directly welded, such as those made of materials like cement, ductile iron or other non-weldable materials, or in cases where drilling a hole may easily cause the pipeline to crack, it is required to install a weldable external hoop (usually made of carbon steel) first. When installing the external hoop, attention should be paid to the sealing between the pipeline and the external hoop to prevent water in the pipeline from seeping out during the hole-drilling process.
