Electromagnetic flow meter can measure conductive liquids only. For Lanry Mag-11 series electromagnetic flowmeter, the measured fluid must have a minimum electrical conductivity (typically ≥ 5 μS/cm).
Fluids that can be measured:
Water and wastewater
Drinking water and industrial water
Sewage and sludge (with solid content)
Acids and alkalis
Salt solutions and electrolytes
Food and beverage liquids (e.g., milk, juice, beer, sauces)
Chemical process liquids and corrosive media
Fluids that cannot be measured:
Non-conductive liquids such as:
Oils and petroleum products
Distilled or deionized water
Organic solvents
Gases and steam
