Many customers ask about applicable media. Electromagnetic flow meters work based on liquid conductivity, so they only measure conductive liquids. Standard measurable media include water, wastewater, sewage, chemical liquid, slurry, and salt water.
They cannot measure gas, air, steam, pure water, oil, gasoline or alcohol, because these media do not have enough conductivity. If you need to measure non-conductive liquid or gas, we can provide vortex flow meters or turbine flow meters as alternative solutions.
