Influence of probe installation distance on measurement results of ultrasonic flowmeter

An ultrasonic flowmeter is a type of flowmeter commonly used in the industrial field that uses an ultrasonic probe to transmit and receive signals to measure the flow of a liquid or gas. However, when using ultrasonic flow timing, the installation position and distance of the probe have a great impact on the measurement results. Especially in the distance between the probe and the pipe, if the probe is installed at the wrong distance, it may lead to inaccurate flow measurement.
Measurement results are most accurate when the probe installation distance is equal to the pipe radius. When the installation distance of the probe is greater than the radius of the pipe, the measurement results begin to decrease. When the probe installation distance is less than the pipe radius, the measurement results begin to increase. Therefore, we can adjust the probe position according to the actual situation to achieve more accurate measurement results.
