Some points for Transit time ultrasonic flow meter for air conditioning water application

Air conditioning refrigeration and cooling water systems can be measured by our TF1100 serial clamp on or insertion transit time ultrasonic flow meter .

1. Correctly select the position of the measurement point and the installation mode of the sensor to ensure the normal and stable meter’s working. You can choose the straight pipe section which far away from the local resistance components such as valves and tees to test. The distance of the measuring point should meet the requirements we suggest to reduce the error.

2.  When using ultrasonic flow meter, it should be avoid the frequency conversion equipment, variable pressure equipment and other places, so as not to affect the meter’ regular working.

3.  Ensure that the measured water pipe is full pipe flow.

4.  Pay attention to the preparation before testing, such as the stripping of insulation layer, rust removal and paint removal of pipe surface, so as to ensure the accuracy of test data. In the process of installing the sensor, be sure that there is no air bubble and sand between the sensor and the pipe wall.

5. Correct pipeline parameters to input is the key to ensure accurate measurement results.

6. For the air conditioning water pipe with long-term flow stop, the rust scale and other sediments deposited on the pipe wall should be washed with large flow rate before formal measurement.

7. As a precision flow meter, ultrasonic flowmeter may cause some errors in measurement in long-term use. It should be regularly sent to legal units of measurement for calibration and provide correction coefficient to reduce measurement errors.
