1) Measurement characteristics: portable and handheld flowmeter’s measurement performance is better. This is because portable and handheld flow meters use battery power supply, and stationary or wall mounted flow meter’s power supply use AC or DC power supply, even if the use of DC power supply, generally from the AC conversion. Ac power supply has a certain impact on the measurement performance, in the case of weak sensor signal, portable and handheld flow instruments’ measurement results are better.
2) Power supply comparison: handheld and portable flow devices use more convenient. Stationary flowmeter requires external power supply of 24VDC or 220VAC AC power, portable and handheld flow meter use internal battery power, portable flow meter can be operated for 50 hours, handheld type flowmeter can work for 12 hours. 3) Heat metering: fixed and portable flowmeter can add a pair of Pt1000 to achieve heat measurement, handheld flowmeter is without heat function.
4) Output options: fixed ultrasonic flowmeter ‘s output options are more, such as 4-20mA, OCT, relay, RS485, data storage function, HART, wireless transmittance and GPRS;
Portable flow meter, it is just optional for 4-20mA, OCT, relay, RS485, data Storage function; OCT, RS232 and data storage are optional for handheld type.
