Thermal mass flow meters are mainly designed for gas measurement and are not suitable for liquid applications. They are widely used for measuring clean, dry, non-corrosive to moderately corrosive gases.

2. Key Features
Measures mass flow directly, without temperature and pressure compensation.
Good performance in low flow rate and low velocity gas measurement.
Suitable for continuous, steady gas flows.
3. Media It Cannot Measure
Liquids (water, oil, etc.) — thermal mass flow meters do NOT measure liquids.
Wet gas or gas with liquid droplets (will cause large error or damage the sensor).
Highly corrosive gases without special material (like Hastelloy, 316L).
Dust-heavy or highly contaminated gases (may coat the sensor and reduce accuracy).
