Typical applicable media include:
Pure water, softened water, drinking water, deionized water
Mineral oils: diesel, gasoline, kerosene, hydraulic oil, lubrication oil
Solvents: alcohol, methanol, toluene, xylene, etc.
Other light chemical liquids with low viscosity and no particles
It cannot be used for:
High-viscosity liquids such as heavy oil, crude oil, resin, glue, paste
Liquids containing solid particles, impurities, fibers, or slurry
Viscous oil, sewage, wastewater, or fouling fluids
Gases, steam, or two‑phase flow (gas‑liquid mixed media)
In general, the cleaner and lower the viscosity, the more stable and accurate the measurement will be.
