When you are hesitating to use electromagnetic flow meter or ultrasonic flow meter, you can refer to below of the following aspects .

1. Liquid properties
If the liquid cannot electricity conductivity, the only one selection is ultrasonic flow meter .
2. On-site environment
Generally, ultrasonic flow meter is susceptible to electromagnetic wave interference. If there is an object which emits electromagnetic wave on site, it is not suitable for installing the ultrasonic flow meter.
3. Pipe diameter
We suggest you use ultrasonic flow meter for flow measurement for large diameter pipe, the measured pipe should have regular shape, the pipe wall is uniform, no rust, etc.
4. Installation method
Ultrasonic flow meter clamp on type can achieve non contact flow measurement.
5. Others
Performance requirements: accuracy, repeatability, measurement range, response time.
Liquid characteristics: temperature, pressure density viscosity, corrosion and scaling, compression coefficient
Installation requirements: vertical, horizontal, straight pipe section, pipeline vibration, valve position.
Environmental aspects: temperature, humidity, safety, electrical interference.
