Working principle and application of Doppler flow meter

Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter uses the physics of the Doppler effect, in any liquid flow in the presence of discontinuity will be reflected ultrasonic signal frequency shift (that is, signal phase difference), by measuring the phase difference, the flow rate can be measured. The frequency shift is a linear function of the flow rate, which is filtered through the circuit to produce a stable, repeatable, and linear indication. These discontinuities may be suspended bubbles, solids, or interfaces due to fluid disturbance. Sensors generate and receive ultrasonic signals, and transmitters process signals to provide analog output for flow and cumulant display. Lanry Instruments Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter has unique digital filtering technology and frequency modulation demodulation technology, automatically shaping the received waveform signal, it can measure the lining of the pipeline, and the pipeline vibration is not very sensitive. To install the sensor, the upstream and downstream of the installation position must have a long straight pipe section. Typically, the upstream needs 10D of straight pipe, and the downstream needs 5D of straight pipe. D is the pipe diameter.

Doppler ultrasonic flowmeters are specially designed for the measurement of liquid containing more impurities such as solid particles or bubbles or relatively dirty liquid. Mainly used in the following fields:
1) Original sewage, oil-bearing sewage, wastewater, dirty circulating water, etc.
2) Liquid media containing particles and bubbles in industrial production process, such as chemical slurry, toxic waste liquid, etc.
3) Liquid containing silt and particles, such as slag liquid, oil field drilling grouting fluid, port dredging, etc.
4) all kinds of turbid slurry, such as pulp, pulp, crude oil, etc.
5) The on-line installation is pluggable, which is especially suitable for measuring the original sewage flow of large pipe diameter.
6) Field flow calibration and flow test of the above working medium, and field calibration of other flowmeters.
