Vertical installation is permitted, but there is a strict requirement for the flow direction.
The liquid must flow upward from bottom to top through the measuring tube. This design prevents air bubbles from gathering inside the sensor, which would otherwise lead to unstable signals and inaccurate flow readings.
Installation with liquid flowing downward is not recommended. When the pipeline stops running, residual liquid will drain out and leave air trapped in the measuring tube, resulting in continuous empty-tube alarms and measurement drift.
Besides flow direction, ensure enough upstream and downstream straight pipe sections as standard requirements, and complete reliable grounding construction, especially for corrosive conductive media.
